What Is This Kit?

This is the official Suzuki OEM parts set that converts a tiller-steered DF9.9B, DF15A, or DF20A outboard to full remote control operation; side-console or dash-mount throttle/shift, remote steering, and integrated electrical control. It contains 43 genuine Suzuki components: everything from the throttle rod and clutch linkage to the wiring harness, fuses, and all mounting hardware.

Converting from tiller to remote steering gives the operator full front-of-boat control, enabling center console, side console, and twin-station installations. This is the factory solution; not an aftermarket workaround.

Installation Overview

17.  Verify your engine model and year against the compatibility table above before purchasing.

18.  Remove the tiller handle assembly from the engine following Suzuki service manual procedures.

19.  Install the steering bracket, throttle bracket, and control linkage components from this kit.

20.  Route and connect the wiring harness to the engine’s electrical block.

21.  Connect throttle/shift cables (sold separately) to the throttle control lever and clutch lever.

22.  Mount remote control box at the helm and connect cables per Suzuki installation guide.

23.  Test all controls; throttle, shift, and neutral lock; before water operation.
