After installing the mooring whip bases onto the dock, you will need to put together the whip assembly. This model has a two-part assembly. It is important to carefully follow the instructions for two-part assemblies. Using a threading motion, you need to turn the top section of the mooring whip into the base section of the unit until it is fully seated. If properly done, roughly 18 inches of the upper section will be retained inside the lower section of the whip assembly.
